huPo's tj contest

Postby pupup0x » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:27 pm

Hello all. I'm holding a originality trickjumping contest for now. Basicly, every participant can record max 3 demos of their best tricks and send them in for contest. Everyone who participates (=sends demos) can vote for other participants.

Rules:
- Weapons are allowed, but scripts for them not allowed. For example scripts to spam nades/panzers faster aren't allowed.
- Save&Load allowed. This is to make comboruns easier & faster to watch. You may use as many save points you like to.
- Max 3 demos per participant.
- Demos need to be recorded in tjmod servers with normal et physics.
- Maps used must be at least 6 months old maps. Meaning, you can't create a pwnage trickjump map and just jump your own map. Meaning, I can't just release insane1_8 and jump it. Wouldn't be fair.

TIMELIMIT: Until the end of this month. When the month changes, I'll publish the demos in this topic, and participants have 2 days to vote for the best trick.
Send demo(s) to me via pm in this forum. If your nick isn't same in the forum as in game, write also the nick you want to participate with.

Some guidelines for trick recording:
- Make unique tricks. Halfbeating piyo jumps isn't really unique. That is unless you do all of the jumps in row perfectly without any mistakes.
- Stay still few seconds after you start the recording of the demo, so even people with slow computers can see your trick from the very start. Also in the same matter, try to have the trick on demo succeed in first try so we don't have to watch half hour for you trying to jump.

Good luck, hopefully we get even 5 people participating in this.

RULES UPDATE:

- Only demos recorded within the deadline of competition are accepted. Meaning, demos that have been recorded before this competition started wont be accepted.
- Noclip not allowed in trick usage, you can use it to go to starting place of jump in demo though, but not to gather speed or anything involving the actual trick.
- Bug usage allowed, as long as they're related to trickjumping somehow (=getting from place A to place B). Weapon bugs are not allowed, nor even anything interesting to watch.

***VOTING SYSTEM:

- Each person can vote for 3 demos. The points you can give are 3, 2, and 1. Meaning you can give the best demo 3 points, the next best 2 points, and so on. You can only give 3, 2, and 1 though. This voting system will be used so we can get toplist.
- Votes will be anonymous. Dinius will construct some sort of voting system for this, info will be updated later on.

Well obviously this contest is rigged, since everyone hupo deems a nigger or a retard will be disqualified

Na but really, insane1_7 isnt much of an accomplishment unless you do stuff in a row imo

Oh right people, seems we're getting some participants. Good. But one thing I'd like to ask from you is when you send me the demos, put your name on the demo and tell me the map name aswell. After getting a lot of demos, it's hard to remember which one is who's if they all have some random names.

Not sure if I will be participating since I have no ideas for a GOOD demo.
Anyway I posted it here:
